When did you start writing poetry?
I started writing poetry in the 5th grade. It started as little snippets of lyrics and evolved over time. I think my mothers linguistic prowess in the field of puns had a positive impact on my ability to play with language.
What are you trying to accomplish through poetry?
I am trying to expose the hidden factories that exist within our language. By reverse engineering etymology in conjuction with phonetic elements I am able to reveal the beauty that always was, but was never seen.
The Artist
Antonio Eramo is a New England poet with a propensity to add linguistic density to all his works. He is most well-known for the books Prides Crossing and Art of Sin. Along with his books, several of his poems have been published in poetry magazines, including Open Skies Quarterly, Misfit Quill, Impspired etc. (albeit, under the guise of several pen names).
The Engineer
Antonio juxtaposes his creative endeavors with his current work as a manufacturing engineer and has worked on everything from cytometers to plasma generators. His work is exactly what you would expect from an engineer; precision poetry.
